Need Suggestion on How Much I Should Sell My Supercharged FRS
I am thinking to sell my 2013 FRS.
About 55k mile now, probably it is time to sell it. I am located in New Jersey, and I did some research but did not found any FRS with similar mod for sale. Not trying to part out. All parts are top-level, including TE37SL, Sti Brembo, KW V3, Vortech SC, all exhaust from header to catback, craftsquare mirror(about $800), all Alcantara interior panels, BRZ limited seats. I spent close to $30k + the car value on it. Will $23k sounds reasonable? including a set of winter wheels. Can anyone suggest on the price? I might only trust the suggestions from someone who is NOT looking for a used FRS now, hah. Thank you! Update: I just found a car sold for about $30k with similar mod(a little cheaper) but much lower mileage (about 10k). http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2266860 Here is my mod list: POWER/ ENGINE/ UNDERHOOD DRESSUP Vortech H/D V-2 H67B Supercharger Kit V3 @ Ultrarev JDL UEL Catless Header - Black Ceramic Coat @ JDL Autodesign JDL 2.5 Over Pipe - Black Ceramic Coat @ JDL Autodesign JDL 2.5 Catted and Resonator Ultra Quiet Front Pipe @ JDL Autodesign ARK GRIP Burnt Catback @ JM auto racing Omni 3 Bar Map Sensor @ ft86speedfactory.com P3cars OBD Gauge @ AZP Install Password JDM Engine Bay Dress Up Kit - Gunmetal @ Amazon Grimmspeed Hood Struts @ ft86speedfactory.com TRD Fuel Cap @ ebay Gates Higher Performance Belt (Not Installed) @ ft86speedfactory.com Dimple Magnetic Oil Drain Plug @ ft86speedfactory.com Raceseng Cam Plate @ ft86speedfactory.com Radium Dual Oil Catch Can with Petcock Drain Kit @ Titanmotorsports SUSPENSION/ DRIVETRAIN KW V3 Coilovers @ ft86speedfactory.com Vorshlag Front Top Mount @ evasive motorsports Cusco Rear Lower Control Arms @ ft86speedfactory.com Cusco Front Strut Bar @ autocityimports.com Cusco Rear Strut Bar @ autocityimports.com Cusco Engine Room Power Braces @ frsport.com Cusco Quick Release Levers @ frsport.com Cusco Accel Pedal @ frsport.com Cusco Drift Button - Silver @ ft86speedfactory.com STi Battery Tie Down @ ft86speedfactory.com Perrin Rear Shifter Bushing @ ft86club user Whiteline Toe Arms @ ft86speedfactory.com Whiteline Sub-frame Bushing @ ft86club user Whiteline Positive Shift Kit @ ft86club user MTEC Shift Spring Kit @ ft86speedfactory.com BRAKE STI 08+ Brembo Calipers Front & Rear - Red Powder Coat @ nasioc user & needpowdercoat Carbotech Bobcat 1521 Front and Rear @ knsbrakes.com Stoptech SS Brake Lines Front&Rear @ knsbrakes.com DBA 4000 T3 Slotted Rotors Front & Rear @ knsbrakes.com GrimmSpeed Master Cylinder Brace @ ft86speedfactory.com WHEEL -Summer- RAYS Volk Racing TE37SL Pressed Graphite 18X9.5 +40 Square @ prime motoring Michelin Pilot Super Sport 265/35R18 @ tirerack.com Project Kics R40 - Neon Chrome @ Nengun.com -Winter- XXR 527 Chrome Black 17x8.25 +25 Square @ TireCrazy.com 225/45R17 Michelin X-Ice Xi3 @ tirerack.com STi Customized Center Caps @ ebay Mcgard SplineDrive Chrome/Black w/ lock @ Amazon EXTERIOR Five-Axis 6-Piece Body Kit @ DCH Toyota Dealer Craft Square Carbon Fiber Mirrors. @ evasive motorsports TRD Aero Stabilizing Trunk Cover @ ft86speedfactory.com Rexpeed Carbon Fiber Small Trim Cover @ ft86speedfactory.com BRZ Fender Insert Swap @ ft86club user JDM Window Visors @ ebay JDM Toyota Badges Front @ ft86speedfactory.com 86 Piston emblem rear @ ebay Tom's Shark Fin Antenna @ taobao.com 50% 3M Crystalline Tint Side and Back @ Auto Image INTERIOR Cusco Carbon Fiber & Leather D-Shape Steering Wheel @ pansontw BRZ Limited Seats @ Local Seller Defi Oil Pressure Gauge @ rallysportdirect.com Defi Boost Gauge @ ft86club member Block8Head Dual Gauge Pod @ Block8Head JDM Frameless Mirror @ ft86speedfactory.com 3D Design Floor Mats @ ebay TS Black Trims from Australia and Japan @ amayama.com OLM Dry Carbon Fiber Key Cover @ ft86speedfactory.com GT86 OEM Armrest @ ebay GT86 Matte Black Steering Wheel Emblem @ ft86speedfactory.com Volkswagen Hand Brake (Not Installed) @ Aliexpress.com Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched 6mt Shift Boot @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched Handbrake Boot @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched Gauge Cluster Hood Assembly @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched Knee Pads @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched Speaker Trim Panels @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Red Stitched Bonded One-Piece Dash Panel Trims @ JPM Coachworks Genuine Alcantara Center Console (DIY) @ Overland Designs Canada Version Waterproof Trunk Cargo Liner @ kingswayparts.com Toyota Auris/Aqua AC Vent (DIY) @ amayama.com LIGHTING/ ELECTRONICS Winjet Headlights - Black @ fteightysix.com Tom's DOT Legal Red Tail Lights @ fteightysix.com USDM OEM Fog Light Kit w/ Switch @ Carson Toyota Optima Yellow Top Battery @ AutoZone Diode Dynamics Dome/Trunk/Plate LEDs @ Diode Dynamics Valenti Rear Bumper Fog Light - Clear @ Blackbeatmotor Valenti Font Indicator Turning Signal - Smoke @ Blackbeatmotor EuroR Advanced Ultra Slim Philips Ballasts @ hidpowerhouse.com H7: Morimoto XB35 5000k HID Bulbs @ fteightysix.com JDM Sti Clear Side Marker Lens @ ebay shipped from Japan

I would say it is very reasonable as it would not be possible to buy used and build to that spec for that price.

I know it will cost about 10k to 11k to buy a 2013 FRS with that milage. And spend close to 20K on all used parts + $$ labor to build a car like this. But people keep telling me this kind of cars with lots of mods always devalue badly.

Why are you selling it? All that time and effort out the window.

Hate to be a downer but I think you’d do good to get 15. You’d be better off parting out and going back stock.

IF you can find a buyer that wants what you have, $23k is a good asking price - I actually had $24k in mind before I read what you were thinking, assuming negotiation, and knowing I was probably being optimistic.
I'd guess $14k for the car without mods, again optimistic. The trick, of course, is finding a buyer that wants what you've built. It's a nicely done build, so that may happen. And it may not.

Looks like the normal asking price for a 13, with your mileage, around New Jersey, is $14K. Maybe get $5K for the mods if you are lucky so someplace around $18 to $20K is possible. Don't think you are far off in asking $23 but be prepared to drop that if you need to. The one you linked that sold was 3 years ago when the value of the used ones was still fairly high and what he was selling was only a year old car. Yours is 5 years old and the value has dropped considerably.

And you have to assume that a car with that extensive list of mods was used hard.

I was going to say that showing that is not a good selling point but figured I had passed on enough bad news. It is one thing to answer honestly if asked if the car had been tracked but something totally different to put it right out there.
