I really can’t wait either! It’s GOT to sound ridiculously awesome!

Headers go in and come out from the bottom btw. I have the engine held in place with an engine support and dropped the sub frame and steering rack down to easily remove the headers.

We could make that happen but they would be stupid expensive lol

Decided on another alteration. I’m going to add tabs to each primary so I can make sure the tubes are completely seated in the collectors and it will also make them easier to install since the headers will be separate pieces.

More exhaust work. I went with a corsa double helix X-pipe, just because I wanted to try it out.

Would have thought a Corsa X-Pipe that cost almost $600.00 would have been built better than this.

Anyways...fixed that

Also notched the transmission cross meneber to fit and tuck the exhaust

Also shaved a little off the transmission where it was hitting the exhaust pipe I was trying to fit.

Did you Contact Corsa about that? Good thing you could fix it on your own!

Nah. I doubt they would be bothered by it. Also don’t think it would affect performance much if at all. It just looked terrible on the inside, outside looks nice.

Running the exhaust tight and rigid mounted to the transmission.

Made a bracket out of stainless that bolts to the transmission using the bottom two bolts that hold the case halves together.

Tabs to hold the slip collectors tight

The rest of the exhaust is tucking under pretty good

Hope to finish it up tomorrow

Oil cooler lines are done

Also came
Up with a simple way to mount the expansion tank to the battery hold down bracket and it’s surprisingly very solid

Using the factory battery cables. Ran them through a fire proof sleeve then back behind the motor and up to the starter, ground cable is bolted at the rear of the head.

Using the factory alternator cable from the fuse box, lengthened it and ran it along the lower radiator support then under and up to the alternator. Fans are wired in using the factory connecters.

Fed the wire loom through the factory loom hole, had to modify the seal a bit to make it fit, but it did fit, I’ll seal it up somehow too, to water proof it. Also going to wrap it in some kind of heat protection.
