Yea, I don't know what her problem with the plan would be. If I sold a sports car and bought another sports car, I would still have two sports cars.

Financially it would probably work out the same if not cheaper. The additional cash i would have to come up with to get the Exige would probably be less than it's going to cost me to redo the leather, the dash, replace the weatherstripping and rebuild the Targa top. And if I plan on painting it, then the Exige is cheaper by a long shot.

Something like this would do:

I think the wife just doesn't want me to get rid of the 911. Lots of memories.

I've been working in 36° temps... F though. Need to keep off the concrete or I start shivering uncontrollably. Did brakes, LCA, coilovers, and swaybar for the rear yesterday. Found I'm missing one part to do the front... Didn't make it into the parts bins when we took everything off the old car. Gotta keep moving if I'm going to be done with everything by the end of the month though. So much to do still.

Oh, my ...... now, THAT car would even tempt this ol boy ......

(if I had the money.......)

A possible argument (poor choice of a word) ..... a possible "plan" to propose to mrs Sapphireho:

"Honey, I too have fond memories associated with the 911, but don't you think that it's time to just file those memories in our minds ...... and make some new ones .. ??

While we are here in California, the 911 would bring a good price ....... not so much in Montana. Besides, we could most likely buy the Exige. drive it for a few years, and sell it for almost what we paid for it, before we move to Montana...... and make some new memories along the way.

Then, when we get settled in to our retirement home in Montana, you can buy the vehicle of your choice ...... just for you to drive.

How about it, sweet pea" .......??

Hug

(now, slightly hang your head, give her that puppy dog look and give her time to think about it)

Let me know how that works for you .......
