if i'm not mistaken (and i rarely am, but it happens), it was announced that the FT86II would be a "near production" concept.

True, I also remember it being said that the MkII would be near-production ready. While the general shape and components of the car might remain the same as the concept, there probably will be changes made (e.g. removal of carbon fiber parts, smaller wheels, maybe a different looking exhaust?). Basically, the production model will not be exactly like this concept, but close enough.

If its turbo, I'll just run a Y off the turbo and catless duals off that. If it is NA, I'll run (assuming they make them) unequal length headers back with true duals and an X pipe for sound and scavenging. Even though V8s are the only cars truly in need of an X/H pipe, damn it sounds good on any car. I've got a Magnaflow X on the 6 and it roars.

I put a 3inch dual exhaust on my ute... I regret it now and wished i just went a single 4-4.5inch instead.. I did it because i thought it looked tougher and more even... Now i think a big single exhaust looks heaps better providing its backed by the power needing the inches... I have a 383cube motor running 1 7/8 inch extractors.. Single for my vote..

Although I remember reading that with the Supra Toyota's decision to use one (large) exhaust was for weight saving.

As much as I love symmetry, I'm fine with one exhaust in the name of performance.

^ Which Supra was that? The MKIV has a single exhaust that splits into two under the car and then connects just before the rear muffler... Definitely didn't save any weight using that....

It was the MKIV, I wish I still had the article I read. With what you state I'd have to agree, what is the point in that?

Hmmm... learn something new everyday. I guess it's not just the Mk4 guys that don't learn outside their car.

Mk3 Supra is pure single.

I'm not sure... Maybe to get some sort of 'right' sound they were looking for? Or maybe to keep it quiet while still having good flow and not sacrificing ground clearance?

Meh. Sushi is as far as I go, and even then I have my limits. I prefer a good ole' smallmouth bass or trout out of a clean stream. Squid sounds freaky.
