Oh how I wish they would enforce that here but they don't even try.
Pickups will flash by. Twenty year old minivans will leave the cars in the right lane in their dust (and rust particles). Sporty cars will pass you and then get back to the right. As soon as you see a luxury sedan or top level SUV in that left lane you know they are going to just park themselves there and act totally oblivious to all the cars going much faster than them and passing in the right lane. There can be three lanes of traffic and they will travel slower than the ones in the far right lane are which can make for some interesting maneuvering when people come up behind them. Then of course when they come to their exit they will at the very last possible second try to move across all the lanes that are moving far faster than they are.
To add to the fun they are the usual luxury car colours of white, grey or silver and these drivers more often than not seem to have no concept that you need to turn your auto lights on manually during snow storms and fog. Nothing quite like coming up behind an invisible Lexus doing less than half the speed limit, in the passing lane, on a foggy day.

I like when they have auto-braking systems so when I cut them off they get their coffee in their laps haha.

How should I feel about a Gen-1 Cobalt SS with the SC?

Dunno about its capabilities.

I was minding my own business coming to work this morning, windows down since it was about 65 at 7 am, and some dude-bro looking person started gunning it past me. Listen, I'm not fully awake and just want to listen to the radio. I don't need your shit in my face. Yea, the SC sounds good, but the exhaust wasn't my thing, and everything else appeared stock. I never made eye contact because, well, it's a Cobalt that is trying to show off......... for my benefit?

Left lane hogs are endemic here in South Texas as a general rule, so I've nearly gotten used to it since moving here 8 years ago. That said, Lexus drivers (generally) and Mercedes SUV drivers are the worst about this. It's a 33/33/33 when I finally pass them whether it's an old man driving, an old lady driving, or somebody's obviously "kept" wife/girlfriend. In all cases, I have no understanding of why they think hogging the left lane is remotely a reasonable thing to do. The old folks are the worst because they should know better... and the Interstates have all right exits anyway, so what's the point?

Not gonna lie, I bully many Texan drivers out of the left lane on I25 here in Colorado.

I've started getting infront of them and going even slower until they move over. Old people don't appreciate catless exhaust gasses.

I was one of those Texans that lived in Colorado for awhile. I was also bullying other Texas plated drivers out of the left lane on I-25, as well as helping to teach Californians how blinkers worked

That doesn't help since it just forces even more traffic into maneuvering around two of you. Just pass them and carry on before you panic somebody and cause an accident. It isn't like you are teaching them a lesson and they won't just do it again anyway.

I had zero problems with people wanting to race me for the first year that I've had my silver BRZ (silver, totally non-threatening). Then last week I tinted the windows and put on a Corsa exhaust. I am shocked, SHOCKED, at the difference!

You would think I had mounted a picture of Calvin urinating on a cascading series of domestic car brands--like a little waterfall-- with the word "You" at the bottom! This car makes people ANGRY, not to mention the grumpy old men who take personal offense when I pass them, legally, in the correct lane, in the left lane on a four lane divided highway. They never even gave me a second glance before.

So you weren't really in that much of a hurry in the first place then if you had time to do that... Go buy a pick up truck I hear ppl hate the smell of diesel too and it seems to fit your driving style better.
