Looking forward to the results. Once its proven I'll be one of the first down there. Will you guys be at the No ET at Milan this month? I was checking out the BRZ at the last one and was wondering why there wasnt a front bumper on it

The horsepower seem reasonable. Now for that price it's not going to happen. Maybe a kit you can by piece by piece with Ebay parts might net you $3000. here you have to pay for R&D, quality, and reliability. These ppl also seem to use quality name brand parts.

Yeah, $4k is what I have in mind for ~250WHP. I'm most interested to see how the stock internals hold up to the boost.

You have to pay to play... Don is using top knotch components, placing thought behind each design decision, and I for one agree with every change or decision he is making. If you want something that makes your car fast for a week, by e-bay components and wait for something to break (believe me it will), how do I know this 10 years in the school of hard knocks. After I graduated I follow the whys and the hows of turbo kit designing, and Don is doing a great Job. with the proper tuning I do not see a reason that this kit would be unreliable. By the time you by 3 or 4 manifolds, two or three turbos because the couplers keep busting off causing over rotation of the CHRA in the turbo and your now burning oil, and spent your hard earned cash to fix the little screw ups from the cheap kit, (oil lines, oil pan or block baffles, crap hose clamps) it all adds up, just spend the money up front, get in turn the key and have fun...

[QUOTE=Fenrir;304767]No, automatic cars will explode if boosted.
Well I just wanted to double check before I save up for it and then be disappointed cause it wont work. The TRD supercharger for the scion Tc doesnt work for the automatic (according to them). I would like to get a little boost like 40 to 50 hp would put a smile on my face. |
