TRD Tacoma Shift knob on FR-S?

I've been looking at getting a new shift knob for my FR-S and every time I google shift knob, I keep seeing the Tacoma TRD white ball style shift knob. I'm assuming that they're both the same thread pattern but has anyone done this to their 86? I would love to see pictures if you have!

What's the thread pattern of the shift knob you're looking at?

I bought a great quality shift knob from Raceseng with M12x1.25mm Adapter

Improves shifting because it adds weight to the gates

I've really been thinking of getting a metal reverse lockout but I'm worried about introducing even more rattles

I got MTEC shift springs installed recently and further improves the shifting.

I am not sure what rattles your talking about, but I herd that the short shifter (newest model) stop that from FT86 SPEED FACTORY videos.

Every aftermarket short shifter seems to rattle. I also imagine that a metal reverse lockout would rattle more loudly than a plastic one

the thread pattern is the same, but if you are looking at the ball one, you'll want to make sure that the cutout is big enough to fit the reverse lockout.
