OK, my weekly shower and shave is out of the way ....... time to do my weekly vacuum job. Why ME ..... ?? Why not mrs humfrz ......??

Oh yes, I remember, after we got new carpeting throughout the house and a new vacuum sweeper, I was explaining to mrs humfrz the best vacuum technique and how to clean the filters in the sweeper.

Anyone wanna guess why that was a big mistake .......??

I think learning to maintain oversteer in a FWD (on loose surfaces) is a really good practice for driving.

It just kind of dawned on me. I've owned a few FWD cars and learning to slide my beater civic (I dug out a sort of track around our house) and learning to swing my RSX-S on gravel really taught me a lot.

Not that far off. In my HS parking lot, there were a lot of lifted and occasionally muddy trucks.

I had a 96 mustang with cut springs, axle dumps, and wheels and I thought I was the bees knees.

Half-way considering selling my FRS, which would probably sell for a bit over my pay-off, and trying to get into a drift car in 6 months or so when I switch jobs.

Just not sure what car/build I would want to plan/be able to get drifting with quickly.

And I do really like our cars.

Was even half-way considering an RX-8 given that they're a bit newer, have a cool body, good balance, and are becoming very cheap.

You can get them for what a lot of people pay for S-14's.

Yep, some of us learned how to drive on gravel/dirt roads.

Once you have mastered the art of "drifting" a farm truck on a gravel road ...... driving on asphalt with a car, was a piece of cake ......

The sporty Honda of the 90's tend to do an amazing 4 wheel drift into the corner if going in too hot. I've never came across another pedestrian FWD brand that does this.

So far this winter it had been only in one instance where I was actually faster reacting to the tail hanging out than the ABS computer, and it happened when I was changing lanes too abruptly in the wet with ice snow tires. That and I've done some donuts in the snow at an open parking lot to learn about how the cruise control light comes on yellow.

... Say what? Why don't you just stick with the car you have now and go drifting?

You can in a manual transmission.

As long as you don't mind smoking the clutch.
