I thought bout lightweight battery... but I live in the area where it hit single digit or below in the winter, so small/lightweight battery is a bit out of question.

Rear seat delete is in my mind. I don’t need CF rear seat delete, but iirc there’s a company that make out of fiberglass. Price isn’t expensive, but isn’t cheap either. Biggest issue is, that’ll go against my class (STX). My local SCCA isnt too picky, so they won’t go apeshit if I delete rear seat... but I shouldn’t take that as an advantage.

I'll be swapping mine back onto the new car even though I ended up with a PP and the OE Brembo package. Expect to lose even more weight. Will have to work to not screw the balance up, but interested to know where the final weigh-in lands.

Yeah I did look into AP brake kit... issue is the winter. It get salted, so it’s not a good idea to run it.

I have one brake kit in mind. It should shave weight (to certain degree), I gonna wait til spring to actually buy it or not.

Like cjd stated, SCCA solo (autox) have limitation of moddifications. I’m currently in STX class, BUT I’m not competing to win the class (I’m far from it).

Autox is pretty fun. It’s hellova a lot cheaper than track, it’s lower speed limit than track, but you learn a lot from it. If you haven’t done it, I would recommend trying it out. Just bring your helmet and let your local experienced autox guy guid you. You don’t need special mods or tools. Just bring your car & have fun time.

I, myself currently autox for more of improving my driving skill than winning the trophies. I’ve done track for only 10yrs and autox for 4yrs. I’m still newbie to racing and need more experience & improve my driving skill.

I explain it like this. I hand them 4 quarters and say this:

Especially, near the end of a loan, where most of the payment goes to the principle ....... not interest. That makes the "standard deduction" more attractive ....... plus, you don't have to "make up" charitable contributions .....

Property tax is where that hurts me the most - it's right in the same ballpark as my interest is currently, though we really need to refi into a fixed so it stays that way... (sold the old house after buying and rolled the money over into the mortgage... 3 years at 2.25% saved a crazy amount, especially since it took a year for the old house to sell - too small for the mcmansion crowd, right at the edge for the up-and-coming crowd.)

Being taxed on your tax is a wee bit frustrating.

Hope we're close on the balance this year, but it's always an unknown. Paid a good deal less due to random "oh, we changed the legal entity that you're working for" and missing a step on the new paperwork... but also got a plug-in worth a nice credit... so. Who knows.

Expensive year, 2017. Pretty crap all around, to be honest.

I lost almost 40 pounds before the holidays. Man, I really felt the difference; in the car too. It's real.

Then Chrismas vacation befell my world. Still +8 lbs.
