Now that my account has been activated I guess I might as well say hello. I picked up my 2015 FR-S from the used lot of a local Toyota dealership this past Sunday for $15,500 with 49,798 miles. This car is a lot of firsts for me. This is my first car that's less than 10 years old, my first car with less than 100k miles, and my first Japanese car. In the past I've only owned German cars.

Coming from a 400+ horsepower VR6 turbo this car is quite a bit different, but in a good way. My Jetta was beginning to show the strain that forced induction puts on a motor that was designed to be NA, plus the car was falling apart in general from being 20 years old. I chose this car because it reminded me a lot of my old 944 and I wanted to try something different for once. I will say that it is nice to have a car that starts on the first try, has a touchscreen radio with Bluetooth, working heat/air-conditioning, and doesn't have random rattles coming from the doors while driving down the road.

The previous owner put some noname brand exhaust on the car that sounds worse than a Honda fart can (probably why they sold it), so my first modifications will most likely be a UEL header to bring out that boxer rumble and a decent cat back exhaust.

Only picture I have so far is a really crappy cellphone picture of it in the parking garage below my apartment...
