Maybe my expectations were too high but it was a very cool car. Sound from the exhaust and fake exhaust noise were nice actually. Also I personally like how it looks in Nitrous Blue.

I just knew I would be trading it in the moment they made an STI with an FA motor in it, so i walked away and now that I have time to think about it I know I made the right choice.

Oh yeah and they are having wayyy too many issues over there in focus world... leaking transmission fluid, the infamous head gasket issue, who can really bother with that junk on their DD???
Wait wait, did i say that stuff??? Well this is awkward. I'm buying an RS tomorrow.

Congrats, you will enjoy it I am sure. You can say a lot of things about the Focus RS, but saying its not fun.....is not one of them. Damn fun car, and really opens up after the first 300 to 500 miles.

I finally had a chance to instruct in one at COTA. Some things that bugged me:

-- High seating position

-- You can feel electronics intervening all the time in corners (torque vectoring?) even though my student assured me he turned all the nannies off

-- Door armrests have no opening in front to hold onto and I just kept my right hand tucked under my thigh the entire session

When asked which one to buy.. I am of the opinion that RWD beats anything not RWD and so.. there is no questions as to which one to buy.

Apologies for the confusing sentence. Sometimes words hard put together in make sense way sentence.

That's silly and myopic. Tell me more about why the crown vic is better than the gtr.

Well at least you don't have to worry about the HG issue anymore lol

Kinda glad Ford is taking care of their enthusiast base, albeit after a lot of hemming and hawing.

I do enjoy the RS but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss my supercharged BRZ...

well now. Wasn't including old cars they don't make anymore in that statement. your right tho. "ANYTHGIN" was a bad word to use however.. When talking 2017 vs 2017 and certainly when talking these two cars... I stand by that statement.

I guess I just don't think the drive wheels are a big enough factor so seemingly forget everything else that makes a car great.

It is to me. The only thing that makes a car great is "Can it drift?"

Dunno about you guys but I am absolutely not good enough to drift an AWD car.. That should be left to rally drivers, ken block and video games exclusively.
