No luck with the playlist. I'm going to read the manual one more time. FOAD, Pioneer.

I can't help with your question, I use Bluetooth and streaming music services exclusively.
It really looks like this junk is incapable of jumping to the next album in the list, either manually or on its own. What f-ing moron came up with that idea?

I believe the issue is that this head unit is a piece of shit. I'm a single-issue hater, though. It's OK otherwise for me.

So, if anyone cares, the model number for the MY17 Toyota 86 head unit is PT546-00170. Never pulled it out but from the front, looks just like the PT546-00160 minus the Scion branding.

Yeah I have it, I don't like the touch screen on it. I won't replace it since Bluetooth works fine and that's all I care about.

I'm not an audiophile. I didn't buy this car to listen to music. However, I'm not so opposed to throwing on a navigation module for additional functionality. One reason is because the mic (for Bluetooth calls) and the rear view camera (not that I use it) are already integrated into the car. Another is I've seen so many hack jobs on the used cars I've bought... Seriously bad hack jobs... For example, they'll wire things directly into the new head unit despite readily available adapter connectors/pigtails for that car. I don't see myself selling this car any time soon but if I do, I'd like the new owner to have some peace of mind that the head unit install wasn't a hack.

Hi Scourge, i recently brought the same PT546-00170 off eBay, but i couldn't get the backup camera working, can you tell me once you press the Setting->Display, do you see both "General" AND "Camera" option just like page 131, cause i only have "General" on my screen, even i have reverse signal go connect to pin 2 and RCA on 24 pin connector, it's driving me nuts

I was looking into that and found it was $1300 for nav add on and they wanted $300 for map updates. Then I went to eBay and bought a Schose Magic Mount and attached to my vent on the driver's side and use Google maps on my phone as a $40 solution.

Have you tried using a different cable? It's a cheap and easy way to eliminate one possible cause of the problem.

See my Kenwood update

000BRZ

In my Previous posts I replaced The 2017 BRZ Headset with a Kenwood DNX893S (there is a newer one coming out).
If you use this unit Update the operating system to the latest 2017 version with at least a 8GB SDX SD card. and also the maps...IT'S FREE!!!
With idatalink & Maestro 99% works.
Uses Sirius Antenna(DON'T BUY ONE)
Steering Wheel control work (now) old BRZ\FRS there is a control kit
Appleplay and Andriod Play work
OEM rear camera works, Kenwood Front Camera works(use to front park so I don't hit my lip)
HAVE TO USE KENWOOD MICROPHONE (OEM WILL NOT WORK)
Garmin MAPS is heaven sent. With the 2017 Operating System update the graphics are greatly improved too.
Spacers for the sides come from Crutchfield
Getting most car data, gauges system info, tire Pressure and TEMPERATURE
Has every option for controlling music quality, crossover, special settings
(I added a 75 WATT Kenwood AMP and all new Alpine speakers
I used a 2015 dash trim to replace the trapezoidal trim (the right side panel is shorter than the 2017 (so you HAVE to replace both, AND if your stupid enough to install a 2017 headset in a 2013-2016 YOU NEED BOTH THE 2017 HS TRIM AND SIDE PANELS)
The leather peels off the 2017 right panel and you can wrap it on the older panel by removing 1/32" off the straight side (see my photo) You cad also buy any color and stitching leather for $95 on Amazon to wrap both.
You can play DVD's, CD's run music off the SD card, also use a USB memory clip to Program update and music
The updating is as simple as apple pie if you follow the instructions
Hope you enjoy my experience
(I highly recommend you use a Kenwood/idatalink/Maestro experienced installer unless you are an MIT Post Doctorate Nuclear Physicist.

Does the stock radio (AXLP-Q17U) on ‘17 Toyota 860 have a USB port in the rear (in addition to the front) to hook up a SiriusXM SXV300 sat tuner?

Our taste in music could not be more different if we planned it that way.
I like physical too but there is no way my vinyl records would not fit in the car.
