I forgot the car had 6 speeds today. Drove around in 5th gear on the freeway and didn't realize until I got to my destination.

Happens to me every time I drive my FR-S now (since that's basically once a month) since I drive the Yaris everyday, which is a 5 speed.

I've definitely driven in 5th on the freeway at times a lot more than just putting it into 6th. It's handy when there's just some traffic, but enough to require hovering around 55-65ish mph.

I get the oposite, have to resist trying to shift my MR2 into 5. And I drive a AT FRS

Not an issue for you guys but I screamed that at about 20 drivers in white out snow conditions on the highway yesterday. Why does it always seem to be morons in white, silver or grey cars that do not realize without lights on they are invisible in blowing snow or fog?

I have switched my silver rental's lights from auto to on multiple times the last couple of weeks in snowy and foggy conditions. I'm so proud of myself.

Also, remote start is so nice in cold/snowy/icy weather.

Unless your car is a manual and your cousin, who borrowed your car the night before for his late night california burrito run, is the "old school" type and likes to put the car in gear when parking on your driveway, which happens to be adjacent to your bedroom wall...

Apparently somebody's been camping out at my apartment building's laundry area at night. It's publicly accessible, but down some stairs of a passage to a kind of basement room.

I heard that they disabled the light (which explains why I hadn't seen it on at night since getting back from Vancouver on Sunday night).

I'm not particularly scared about it, but it's still a bit unsettling. My neighborhood is crawling with a rampant homeless problem but it makes me feel uneasy that they're like..right on the property. And they're not all regular people who happen to be homeless; typically lots of druggies, dealers, etc. It could've just been a regular homeless person but it's super hard to judge nowadays.

Anyway, I was told they're putting a temporary barricade with a "No trespassing", etc. sign but I know that some public buildings the next block over had the same issue, did the same thing (chained off with a sign), and resolved it, but only temporarily and ever since (probably at least a year now) the homeless people camp out there anyway and just climb over the chain and sign..

So meh. I don't think it'll accomplish much at my place.. Just disconcerting.

Lmao. That sucks.

I don't have remote start but I do bypass the clutch in my cars. Always have to remember to check the shifter after getting it worked on as many leave it in gear and I have lunged forward a few times. Thankfully nothing has every been right in front of me
