The safety concern is if you leave the seat out and you get into a side impact, it changes how the SRS airbag works as a system.

What you don't want is the side curtain airbag to deploy in a wreck, but deploying too much past a certain point where it may hit the baby seat.

Feel free to remove the seat to install, but reinstall the seat so the system behaves normally.

It's a tight fit depending on what kind/size of car seat you own. Some can make it work, and some cannot.

I’ve seen that second video before (when researching the baby seat thing before buying mine). The guy trips me out when he says you are running out of time to buy the car if you are 30 as if everyone is out of shape like he is. Hahaha.

Just remove the rear window and drop the seat and baby in from the back.

Damn I was 25 years late buying mine then. It is also my 80 year old mother's favorite car to ride in since she can get in and out so easily.

If you have to move the passenger seat so far forward to accommodate a child seat in the back is it going to block too much of your view out the passenger window and make it less safe to drive? I'm not sure how far forward you're talking about here, I don't have a child seat to test fit in my car.

Yep, I hear that ......

We had to buy them two at a time and then "upgrade" both several times, as the babies turned into young children ........ and ALL of OUR children are fully grown!

Nope, we didn't have them left over from 45 years ago ...... because we never used them with our kids .......

We would put the baby in a basket on the back seat. If you had to slam on the brakes real hard or had a accident, the basket (with the baby) would quickly roll over once and land right side up in the rear seat foot well ...... a very safe place in the car.

So there .....

Damnit. I never thought to use a basket with handles so it would flip back right side up. I would have to pull over and flip it over manually. Your method would have been so much easier.

The sad part is people will think these are jokes!
