That's NOT what I said...
Quote:
I said this because people claiming that our cars were so much slower didn't mete out with my experience and I linked to an article that might explain why. I stated that based on the article an e85 tuned but otherwise stock 86 would have as much whp as a STOCK wrx and the same power/weight as a STAGE 1 tuned wrx ACCORDING to the article's information. I said that it would have a better power/weight than a STAGE 1 wrx by having a catless header and e85. I also mentioned that I was NOT basing this from a dig. Don't put words in my mouth. Jaden What a surprise, butt hurt drives a wrx limited LOL... |

Your other statement you made was about having a respectable race with a focus RS, I mean come on man... don't go down like this. |

It was a highway pull...
Quote:
Nonsense? LOL Everything I've said is backed by the numbers and experience... You're just backed by butthurtedness LOL The RS wasn't meant to be a race, the guy mouthed off about something completely unrelated and then said something about our cars being slow and took off so I ran him down... Jaden p.s. I'm done with this thread, I've made my point for anyone willing to actually look at the info, I should've known that mentioning the ubiquitous WRX would bring out the ones who don't even drive a twin but troll the site to try and put them down at every chance...lol |

Lmao in what world is the WRX priced $10k more than a BRZ of the same year/trim? I have owned both cars new. I bought a 2013 Limited BRZ for $27050 when it first came out (at receipt). I bought a 2015 Base WRX for $25000. BTW the WRX would take multiple shits on the BRZ base for base. This is coming from someone that prefers the BRZ over the WRX.

I was interested in the twins when it was just a concept, owned it when it released, loved the car. I return to this site because I still love the car, I can still contribute and I'll probably end up buying another. You on the other hand come across as a boy racer, you will someday make some money and buy a faster car that fits your personality better. Nobody will hear from you again in the 86 community. This thread was fun, I enjoy some nonsense every once in a while. I mildly trolled you but you really should understand this car isn't "fast" and it shouldn't be respected as such. That isn't the intention and an e86 tune will make it faster but still not "fast". |

Furthermore, the same money spent on tuning the FRS and adding headers could be spent on adding a J-pipe and tune on the WRX. At that point, the WRX would be getting close to the 300whp mark, meaning the car is putting out 350ish at the crank. It'll demolish an FRS/BRZ. That's my point. It'll all semantics because you can always just add money to one after the fact and to make it faster than something else. But if we're talking about the same end price... FRS with E85 tune and headers (~200whp) is the same price as a WRX with J-pip and tune (~290whp). Hell, you can add E85 to the WRX very easily just like you can with the FRS and then we're talking around the 330whp range. It's just a rabbit hole, that's all I'm saying. This isn't rocket science though. One is N/A, the other is turbo. Naturally, it's going to be much easier to extract more power from the turbocharged vehicle than the N/A vehicle. But like I said, the cars were built for different things. I have an STI now and while I love it for every day use, I know which of the two I'd rather have on a road course or skidpad.

did you not look at the timeslips I posted? my runs were at a similar DA as the wrx in question...catless header/front pipe AND e85....you still don't get a win light against a stock wrx from a dig. youll barely pull on the highway. the cobb stage 1 wrx trapped several MPH faster than I did, meaning I get gapped on the highway. period. the wrx is, and will remain the faster car. 2.1 60' is about as good as this car is going to launch on stock sized rubber.

Jaden [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQu6_jhM6bM"]2013 Scion FR-S 1/4 mile Stage 2 UEL E85 Tune - YouTube[/ame] Still not trapping quite as high, but what about I'm not talking about from a dig do you guys not seem to understand? Also a completely stock 86 with just a tune also trapping 98... https://www.delicioustuning.com/Stoc..._Breaks_200whp E85 on an frs is a 170$ deal also... so it's not like you can make a huge difference in the wrx for the same money... trapping at over 100 stage 2 e85... |
