It's like that time when after telling my girlfriend multiple times how she shouldn't drive with flip-flops because it could get caught under the pedals and she would be f'd and she almost hit someone full force because they braked hard and her floppies got stuck under the gas pedal when she tried to quickly switch.

Livin' (luckily) and learning (hopefully)...

Have you seen the price of shoes lately?

Those look difficult to drive in (or walk, for that matter). I'll take my chances with socks.

At least twin owners mount their aftermarket hoods properly. In my other life in the Jeep community, a lot of Cherokee owners think venting the engine bay will relieve engine overheating issues (it doesn't), but they don't want to cut into their hoods. Instead, they install spacers on the hinges to open the back of the engine bay as shown below. I feel like it's a miracle we haven't yet had a decapitation.

My 58 Ford hood opened backwards and with it's lack of two catches and tendency to lift a bit at speed it always sort of worried me. No crumple zones or bend points meant it was coming right through the windshield in the event of a crash.

My Triumph would do that between 100 and 110 MPH. I tried like hell to get my latches adjusted so it would stay latched. Then it occurred to me I probably shouldn't be going over 100 MPH on the freeway and stopped having that problem.

That's incredibly common on drift cars as well, and higher hp imports, and even twins.
