Diff Oil is 1.15 L ?

Hello,

I am thinking to replace my Diff Gear oil.
The manual state 1.15L.

Does BRZ (2017) have 1 or 2 Diff Gear (front + Rear axle) ?
Need 1.15L or 2.3L ?

THanks

That 2.3L is for the Transmission. Unless you have the elusive AWD BRZ, then you wont have a front diff.

The 1.15L to 1.3L is correct for the diff.

[QUOTE=ZDan;3031642]Why?

Hoping to get a better shift.
Look like quite a few are recommending the Motul.

Currently at 7000k.
Looking to replace the oil either at 10K svc or 20k svc.

Ah, in that case it is the transmission fluid you want to change, not the diff fluid (which doesn't affect shifting at all)

I replaced my gear oil last week with the meme motul gear 300 gear oil. I haven't noticed any difference in shifting at all. I changed the oil after ~17600 miles. I had already installed a shifter bushing, perrin transmission mount bushing inserts, mtec shift springs, and whiteline kits KTD 922, 925, and 926. Again, no difference with the new gear oil. Shift springs and shifter bushings made the largest difference in shift feel. It might be because my car is a 2016 model year, so maybe the cars came with better gear oil as time went on. I saw the image of the guy who replaced his gear oil at 1500 miles and mine was nothing like that. It was a waste of money for me unless oem gear oil costs the same
