So, figure a day and half of a morning to get there. My aunt is getting married on the weekend, so realistically, the girlfriend and I could hit the road Sunday afternoon, stay the night near Deals Gap, then start the drive home on Monday night or tuesday morning.
Wait... Truck? Why?

Maybe worded poorly? I'll be in my car. Just saying I don't like being in the comfortable truck for 10 hours driving, will hate the car for that long.

I get it. Bucket list and all. Consider arranging it so you can be in Deals Gap for dinner and do the road in the morning while you're both fresh and can really appreciate it. I dunno. Just my $0.02.

Not all back roads are equal. Not that it's a guarantee of anything but check out the water crossing on the one I picked. Maybe there are others that have some cool features.

Solid advice.

Just realized I'm going to need to plan ahead for our border crossing. This whole thing with US border services being able to search your phone basically without cause is fucked. Maybe I'll bring along a burner phone to use on the trip with a clean install of android.

No, as with most people my age, I have everything from family photos to banking info in my phone. I'd rather not have some knuckle dragging border guard going through it

Think the bearings might be on their way out, but other than that, they're still solid.

I'll probably buy another set when the time comes. They're by far the most inexpensive option.

I have mine in the box waiting for me to install them when I get motivated..

I may need rear adjustable arms also to completely satisfy the OCD with the alignment

What alignment do you run for street?
I find -2 degrees on the rear is a bit much so want to dial it back to about -1
