Had an older couple compliment my car at a red light and they asked “who makes it?” I responded “Toyota”, again they asked who makes it. This time I said “...Japan?” Once again, “No but WHO makes it??”. I was so confused the light turned green and they just waved and we drove off.

Had a lady in a Nissan Altima ask me who made the car at a red light. People seem to think this car is some kind of fancy expensive car lol. When I tell them its a Toyota. Cheaper than an Audi or Lexus, but I guess its maybe twins are a bit more rare on the street than those two.

Had two guys ask me at a gas station, "Yo, is that car fast??", which I replied "No, not really. But its a fun car in other ways!"

drive through bank teller and it went like this:

her: oh I like that car. what is it.
me: BRZ blah
her: oh you have to take me for a ride some time.
me: I don't think my GF would like that.
her: I won't tell.
me: oh mai......

I was walking to back to my car after leaving a restaurant a hobo is casually walking by and says "nice car man! what car is that?" and i say " its a Subaru BRZ" and he says "Oh its a Subaru!? yea those are fast huh".

Another time i was parked outside the grocery a man comes from behind checks out the car and walks to the front and gives me a thumbs up and walks away.

Had 3 occasions where people complimented my Series Yellow BRZ. On my way home from work someone yelled across the street, "nice car!". Then tonight while at the grocery store, I had a fellow 86 owner stop me to ask about my car. He's an older gentleman and wanted something nimble and small. We chatted for a while. Then at the same store, when I was leaving the security guy was all like, "Is that a Subaru?!" I feelz cool

I had installed the BRZ TS enkei's on my car with some decent rubber (225/40s)
and while at the beach on NASNI, I had a guy in his jeep and family looking at the car and as i walked up he asked it looked cool and what it was. I told him it was the FRS/BRZ chassis, and hes like "oh man that looks so good, what does it have a turbo? v6?)

Sorry bud. NA 2.0 flat 4 and 200 hp maybe

to his credit. it was parked away from him and I have the 17+ Vland tails, and the black rims on a white car. so.. maybe it looked better than it is.

On Saturday, I stopped at a Wawa to grab something real quick. I come out and this guy in an older ram 1500 walks over (belly poking out of his t-shirt) telling me "Nice car! my wife just bought a McLaren but I don't know which one...How much did this cost you?". I proceeded to tell him $21k and he was in awe. He kept trying to figure out if it car was a 1 of 1 super car or not. kept telling him it's a Toyota/Subaru. Told him I had to dash.

Later that day, I was just taking something out of my trunk and a man with his family stopped and stared. He said "That's a nice ass car". Gotta love owning an 86
