Probably more so family history, my father's family were all alcoholics/drug addicts and my mother's father tried to bury his PTSD after Vietnam in the bottle. I tried it, but didn't care for it.

It's pronounced Al-CH, it's chuh as in much. It is not Arabic. In fact if you enter Allch Chcar into google translate and autotranslate into English, it is correct. But it also autodetects it as italian.

It doesn't really matter since I don't drink.

Started new diet, new training regiment today

I will try to represent the FT community as best I can, I have to have my promo video approved first though in order to be accepted to the competition.

Why do hotdogs come in packs of 10 and buns in packs of 8?

Any MR2 aficionados here? I was thinking of getting one and wondered if my 16x7 +40 enkei NT03s would fit... I am also wondering whether or not a square setup will upset the balance, but I can always go 205f/215r. I'm setting it up for the touge if that matters at all.

dude. Dude. Dude. I have severely missed the track. Nothing like burning rubber and melted brake pads to cure heartache!

I ran a 1.36 in the FR-S, amazing feeling (1.37 was what I started in the Evo however I was pretty novice at that point), and I ran the quickest lap of all cars in the Evo.... 1.28 full course counter clockwise at Sandia motor speedway here in Albuquerque! Wooooooooot Wooooooooot

Watching some the EVO tournament with some beers and friends.

Looking at the mods I want for my BRZ, lots of forum members will be shutting up and taking my money. Too much of a pansy to mod my own car, considering I have no prior experience, though I am willing to learn.

Nowai. Locals should be able to help for beer + food. I learned myself and I only go to the shop when I don't have the tools or the time. Read the DIYs when they come out, read up on how things work (IMPORTANT!), and also read the shop manual. Cmon, bro.

Ive been reading on the BRZ manual but to pretend I know something Im not is kidding myself. Im a computer guy, taught myself everything I know about computers. Never had someone to take me under their wing for cars, so Im not to confident in these do it yourself guides because I simply dont have the simplest of experience. Im confident with computers because Ive been doing this since 10 years old. thats 11 years of teaching myself and I consider it my trade. Getting into cars AND doing it myself, is like pitching with my left hand when Im dominant right. it just wont work until someone can teach me or point me in the right direction... though youtube has taught me much.

No one taught me computers or cars, but I do both. Turning a wrench ain't hard. It's literally following directions; once you've done stuff more than once you can do it without directions. The FIRST time I did exhaust on my WRX, I'd never done it before. It took 5 hours to pull the uppipe and downpipe; later that week I discovered the UP had a blown flex section and had put the car back up on jacks and pull the entire exhaust AGAIN. Did that without directions...in a gravel parking lot...in 100+ degree heat with disgusting humidity.

It's about whether you want it or not. I wanted to work on my car(s), so I invested in some basic tools (high quality socket set, jacks, jackstands) and got to doing it. You'll never learn if you don't try. It won't be easy and there will be wrench throwing moments, the best you can do is prepare for some unforeseen setbacks (buy extra bolts and chemicals beforehand). Shit, if I was near Dallas I'd show you a thing or two for dinner.

Can you do a brake job?
