I'd highly suggest talking to Chris up there. I mean, you could piece together your own setup, and maybe you'll come out under the price of an SBD kit, but at some point you have to ask yourself if it's worth the heartache, and if any reputable tuner will even want to touch it.

Also, I recommend not going to a Subaru tuner unless they have 86/BRZ experience, since firstly, they tend not to fully grasp the dual injection system, and secondly, don't tend to deal with ECUtek/OFT. I made this mistake and it didn't hurt anything, it just didn't run quite right or to its full potential.

OP, I truly appreciate how badly you want to put together your own kit, and whole heartedly support that as long as you understand the reality that there are many existing kits on the market that will likely make the same or more power, won't give you any headaches, and will end up costing you less in the long run.

Lots of companies have made really high value kits that are designed to target users trying to get into a turbo on this platform, and the competition and innovation has driven the price of these kits down to the point where you can get some top tier components for (near) entry level pricing.

Dustin's probably the most childish admin in the history of admins. I don't know why Chris put him in charge of anything. I just ignore him and let him give misinformation to people and send them a private message if it's really bad advice. Mostly because the alternative is getting kicked from the group.

I didn't know he was an admin of the group, just figured I was arguing with some Optima battery fan boy. You're spot on about him being childish though, he used some meme from 2011 earlier in the post he deleted.

I was invited to the group for the sole purpose of being kicked/banned from the group.
