Looks like it's running lean there with the header and no tune. That's not good for actual use, but sometimes shows a good dyno run.

What does yours run generally? I kept Torque up the whole trip home from work last night and it steadily hovered around 14-15

Stoich AFR is 14.7, you generally want it around there while idling and cruising. At WOT you’ll usually see around 11-12.5.

Step on the gas for a few seconds to get the car into open loop mode (make sure it's warmed up first). The afr should come down to 12ish while you are on it.

In closed loop, all cars run at 14.7 as that's the stoichiometric point where all the fuel is burnt using all the air. However you make the most power at lower afrs due to a number of factors.

Also, running richer (lower afrs) reduces knock. Knock is bad, so when it happens, the engine reduces timing, which reduces power. So if you run lean (higher afr) you risk damaging the engine AND will have less power.

Edit:. See bold. Was originally "open" which was incorrect.

Nobody can guarantee that the dealership in question won't pull a fast one (requiring you to go to court to get a repair covered) aside from a written contract from said dealership service department, which they could still double back on and make you suffer.
I wonder if this is valid for Canadians as well

Service department at the dealership I bought the car from basically told me to go fuck myself (obviously more politely) when I was having a transmission issue.

They asked me to return the car to 100% stock form (I had full exhaust, coilovers, wheels, drop in filter, etc). And yes, that included stock wheels with OEM tires when I asked them to clarify that. So, I mean, my warranty isn't void, they just made it clear that they had zero interest in performing the warranty work.

Which of course, turned out to be 20 minutes of work via a TCU reflash. Eventually they did the work when I went to the Scion side of things, and asked to take one of their bone stock cars out for a test drive, and replicated the issue in less than 5 minutes, and proved to the service manager that it had absolutely nothing to do with my mods.

Don't believe the catted header marketing hype.

Catted header + no tune = waste of money.

I speak from personal experience. I had a JDL catted header with no tune, OFT stage 1, and EcuTek tune.

Pretty silly. I can only hope my current issue doesn't become something silly like that because I installed steelies lol

Any comparison between oft and ecutek tunes with the header?

Brand name vs generic drugs IMO.
Both are tools that do the same thing.
Same exact tune on each system will net same gains.

The more expensive one has some extra bells and whistles.

ECUtek tunes are more dependent on the tuner too, a dyno tune from one tuner will be different from another tuner.

Yes, both are ways to flash the ECU. Usually someone goes from the ots oft files to ecutek so they can get a more specific ots tune, or get a custom tune. As I understand it, most custom files are locked, where the oft doesn't support it. Was just curious as to whether there was a noticable difference between the oft stage1 and whatever TofuJoe went to.

Unless you were saying just that and I misinterpreted, in which case .

I was running an OFT tune for 5 months and switched to ECUtek in November. After the process was done, I don't know why I messed around with OFT at all. The car ran smoother on the ECUtek, the torque dip was nonexistent (where it still slightly existed on the OFT Stg 2), and I ended up getting BETTER gas milage without changing my driving habits at all.
