Question about wheels on the new BRZ.

Hey guys I just got a 2017 BRZ and I transferred the wheels I had on my 2015 COROLLA. I came to find out that the Corolla lug nuts did not fit on the BRZ. I am quite lost because Toyota uses the same 12x1.5. I ended up using the OEM lug nuts from the BRZ and torqued them on the aftermarket wheels.

Is it fine to use the OEM lug nuts on aftermarket wheels?
I was using those EBay tuner lugs with a conical seat.

As long as the nuts and the wheels both have the same taper all is fine. You can't mix cone nuts with flat wheels or vice versa.

@ cjd, so that means the 2017 BRZ uses the M12x1.25 and NOT the 12x1.5

12mmx1.5 is standard Toyota, Honda, and Mazda. 12mmx1.25 is Subaru and Nissan.
Since the 86 twins are manufactured by Subaru, well, you see where this is going.
