Yo Canadians, question

Has anyone ordered from 86worx.com?? If so, how was the service, hidden fees, shipping time, etc etc?? I'm not ordering anything right now, and may seek out some other places when more serious, they just have the front end I have been looking at for some time and am sure other places can order them as well if I try hard enough and look.

I've ordered hundreds of times from around the world and always always ask two most important questions:

1. Which postal service do they use? If USPS (if from the States of course), then you won't be hit with brokerage fees unless they're applied at the canadian border, which nowadays happens more often than it used to, especially for high value items. UPS and Fedex add quite a bit. For a $100 USD purchase, I had to pay about $45 CAD in fees when shipped with UPS, and around $25-35 with Fedex.

2. Would they be willing to declare a lower value on the customs papers? Buying something expensive from overseas is out of the question unless they agree to this. Fortunately most sellers want the business so they agree. Some outright don't give a crap and list the value as $20 for anything. But even declaring $150 for a $600 package still helps a lot.

Having said that, I only ordered hood shocks from them and asked them to declare a lower value at the checkout. They arrived with a $20 declared value, which is exempt from fees. Hope this helps.

And by the way, I got a quote for the TRD front end (painted) from FT86motorsports, and they said $885.99 CAD + tax with free shipping

If buying from the US, never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever use anything other than USPS. If they won't ship USPS, take your business elsewhere.

I bought used goods from a private seller, not a business, and they shipped UPS. I got hit with a $140 duty charge, on something I paid $500 for.

I agree with both posts above.

Don't ever use UPS if you can help it. Their brokerage charges are insane! It's a huge money grab.
