Help me choose w/c one
Good day.
Newbie here. Did search the forum and asked a little bit but need the right answer. Im planning on getting the konig rennforms Question is. Do I go with 18x8+40 or 18x9+38? Im lowered with eibach prokit. 1" on stock struts. Not planning on going coils. W/c of them will get me closest to flushed. For tires, i really like some meaty tires. So w/c size of tires as well do I go? Tires wont be purchased till spring time. Just the rims right now as its a gift from my brother. So gotta choose w/c ones. I really appreciate your inputs. First off, what does w/c mean?
Second off, how wide do you want your wheels to be? Both will fit. The lower the offset, the closer to the fender, and the wider tires you can run. |

First off your typing skills suck donkey juice.
Second your typing skills swallow donkey juice. Third, why do you want meaty tires? Is it just for looks so you and your homies can circle jerk in parking lots? Or do you plan on doing actual Motorsport events? If it was me I'll ditch the heavy ass 18's and stick to lightweight 17x8 on 235 sticky tires.

Both will fit, with the correct tires.
18x8 +40 is not TOTALLY flush. I am running 18x8+35 with camber bolts maxed. The wheels are flush-ish, could be a few mm more.... I have 18x9 +37 rear which are also flush-ish, could be a few mm more.... Running 225/40 front and 245/35 rear. I had 245/35 all around, but it is too big for an 18x8, IMO. (now I know) I had 4 square tire setups before going staggered. I'm on prokit and stock struts too. Anyway, it really is all about what you are going for. Read through the wheel directory that is a sticky. look at the pics of similar setups and decide. It is how I chose... GOOD LUCK!!!

No direct experience but I *think* w/c-ever wheel size should work...
As for tire sizes, I'd go 225/40-18 on 18x8, 245/35-18 on 18x9. 18s for looks? That's totally fine, but 17s are cheaper and lighter-weight if either of those is a factor. |

It is interesting to me that Konig does not offer a 17" version of this wheel.
Konig Rennform wheel specs. 18×8 5×100 +40 18.62lbs 18×9 5×100 +38 19.17lbs Honestly these are not bad weights for wheels in this price range. I have Konig Oversteer's. Just weighed them at 42.8lbs for the rear 18x9 with 245/35 MPSS and 40.1LBS for the 18x8 with 225/40 MPSS.
