That sounds like a WAY better system than what the mrs. and I have going here!
I tend to carefully place my stuff where I decide I want them at the time. (Generally on chairs, couches, tables or floors). Then she suddenly and without warning run through the house, take all my things, clean them, and hide them in obscure places where I can't possibly find anything (mostly closets and drawers. Sometimes the trash can.)
