He said, hey, look at my new wheels. I looked out the kitchen window and said, nice. He said come out and take a closer look. When we got to his truck, he pulled out a California duster and dusted them off ....... like they got dusty on the two mile trip on paved roads.

In the warmer climes it's a lot easier to keep the engine looking nice. Whenever I wash my car I go in and wipe down the engine bay. It still looks new.

whenever I see a car from up north, I can tell right away. There's just no way to keep a northern engine (used year round) clean.

I mean like something simple that you can drill a couple holes to mount to that bar.

Like this:
but not welded on.
Sorry I don't think there is an easy way to make that happen with this strut bar. At that point you might as well just get the AEM one.

I guess you could try and drill straight through the bar and use extra long bolts.

I realized that just after taking it off. Probably only good to compact trash now.

YIKES, DandoX .......you are just full of half thought out ideas tonight .....

First, you render your bar of no value as a strut bar by taking the sticker off of it .......THEN, you advocate drilling holes in it which would destroy its integrity.

Then, you have a bar that ain't worth nutten fer nutten......

It's dirty to me (people will think I'm crazy), and I plan on cleaning it when I clean the car before we move (haven't cleaned the exterior since June).

I'll be moving out of the Bay Area here in Cali to a small town about 1.5 hours away from where I live now. haha. Projected move in is some time in February. Walk through of the house is third week of January. Although I would like to move either to Oregon or Washington.

Most likely I'll drop off the FR-S first and the Yaris second. Not sure if I'll be doing that before or after moving our stuff using one of those moving trucks.

I reckon housing will be more affordable over in the Central Valley.

However, it will be harder to keep your car's engine clean ......

Let's just put it this way, new place is a new house. For the same money, you can only get a ~20 year old house where we're living now. Pretty crazy.

The nice part is that all three cars (my FR-S and Yaris, and my bro's Prius c) can fit in the garage at the new house. Currently the Yaris has to endure the elements (which I think has dried up the headlight sealant as I'll get condensation after washing the car).

Anywho, back on topic. Back on Saturday, I replaced my "old" switchback LEDs (on the right) with the new VLEDs V6 Triton switchbacks (on the left).

alright so since ive just noticed this im very early on in my investigation. When i park my car for extended periods of time (about a week or two) i find a small puddle of oil under the car but this doesn't occur when i park it over night. Its only started after i did an oil change but i used a new crush washer and i double checked both the filter and drain plug and both are torqued to spec. The oil wasn't overfilled and i haven't had time to jack the car up to get a good look underneath but i cant see any obvious visible signs of a leak. Do you guys have any input on where i should look when i get it up?

oh and i got side skirts and a splitter for this summer

The first place I would check is the oil filter. I'd take it off and make sure only one gasket is in place (and only one) and that gasket was not squished out. Also, make sure the filter was not cross threaded.

The second place I would look would be at the drain plug ....... are you sure you don't have two crush washers on it and one of them is squished out ..??
