Edit: my youngest son is much more on the autism spectrum than me. He is 16 and a junior in high school. He goes to diesel mechanics vocational school in the afternoons. When we did the job today he put on his uniform from school. He is such a great kid. We will be doing much more on the car together.
That's good. It's always rewarding to teach your kids how to do stuff.

My three "new drivers" (two sons, one daughter) learned auto repair, auto bodywork and auto painting ..... after ....... each one wrecked each of the old cars that I had bought for them.

My 32 year old son has never driven a mile and I doubt has held any form of mechanic's tool in his life. Zero interest.
My 15 year old grandson however has decided he wants to be a millwright so things balance out.

BTW, my brakes are still at like 80%. Sure sounded like spent brakes, now no sound? Everything looked great, nothing loose. I guess I need to stop sniffing glue.

On thing I did notice is the shop that installed the rotors and pads for me didn't put on the backing plates off the stock pads. Doesn't really bother me.

Love the Quickjack.
While the quick jack looks awesomely quick, please make sure you use jack stands before crawling under there.

I spent some time cleaning and tiding up my engine bay, installed some hood struts and put in a cross strut bar.

This is my engine with over 70k on it, still looks good as new (at least from the top):

I didn't use any water when cleaning the engine bay, just tub-o-towels and some plastic/rubber restorer. Came out pretty good I think.

(this stuff made some of my hoses that looked quite ashy, look so much better)
