Car won't start after OFT flashing
So I'm taking my car back to stock by removing the headers and axle back exhaust. I have the Stage 2 OFT tune so wanted to revert back to the Stage 1. Here is what happened next:
1. Accidentally flashed back to stock tune (wanted to do Stage 1) 2. Once the stock tune was finished writing successfully I went back in the OFT and flashed to the Stage 1. 3. Stage 1 completes and I get the message to turn off car and then turn on car completely and run for 45 secs as usual. 4. Car won't turn over/start...I can hear a klacking type noise like it's wants to start but doesn't. The lights in the car all start going off/on and stereo resets etc. So not sure what happened since I didn't get any error messages during the flash. I did not mess with anything during the flash process but I did notice the phone that was outside the car did pair up with the car. I tried flashing the car again but now I'm getting a message that says it failed to write tune. I'm worried I bricked the ECU but hoping that's not the case...any tips to save the car is appreciated.

Did you check the battery? Sounds like low battery voltage to me. If you bricked your ECU you wouldn't hear anything

As above guy said check battery volts.
Most flash devices including oft will refuse to read or write if bat volts low anything less than 12 v usually indicates problems If oft will read vin or ecu info or log data ecu is fine. As above if ecu was bricked it wont do anything no clicks nothing Also read here http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99171 . |

Alright, I'll try jumping the car and see if that does the trick. Thanks for the inputs everyone. I figured since the lights were coming on and off that the battery was probably not the culprit. I'll report back in a little while. THanks!

The lights require far less power than the starter motor. When you try to start it and the lights go off it is because what little juice is left in the battery is being used to try and turn over the engine.
