After seeing how nice a job they do in Ultra's car I put them on my Christmas list. We shall see what Santa brings.

Well, this weekend I left my trunk open overnight and the car wouldn't start for my Sunday AM drive. Then I discovered my battery charger no longer works, so out to O'Reilly's for a new charger. I get the battery charged and head out, when I hear funny brake noise from the front and discover I have no brake pads left. Crap. I don't think I even got 10k miles out of these pads.

Left the trunk open ...... ??

How did you screw up a battery charger .......??

You wore out a set of brake pads in 10,000 miles ....... this is in China, you live in a flat valley ........ what's YOUR excuse .........??

What next ......... ??

Put a few miles on the new brake pads and rotors. They squeaked at first till the anodizing wore off. They feel better than the completely worn out stock pads. Guess that's not saying much. Anyway, I think they look good. The camber bolts I installed are maxed out in the front, which changed the steering feel. It now feels "touchier" in a good way.

In the front I added a 10mm spacer, making the front 18x8 +35 with a 225/40.

18x9 +42 with 245/35 Now with a 5mm spacer. +38 essentially...

Yea, when I went out into the garage and saw I left the trunk open overnight I was hoping I would get lucky, but nothing but "tick, tick, tick". I cuss out loud at myself. My wife asks what the problem is, and all I can say is, "nothing honey, I'm an idiot."

I think my old charger got rained on when I left it out in the boat. Again, the idiot thing. I like my new one a lot better, so not too disappointed about that one.

Now this flat valley is surrounded by some of the best mountain roads around. They are anything but flat. You lived here, you know that. I have those fancy Ferodo performance pads with drilled and slotted rotors. They stop real good, but damn.

Well, ya ....... painting the fob with lead based paint from China, will definitely mess with the signal and screw up the electronics, including the ECU and BCU, which controls most of the car ........ thus invalidating most all warranty work......

I thought everybody knew that !!.......

Furthermore ........ and I quote from the Internet"

"Blame Red Dye No. 2. In the 1970s, Soviet scientists claimed a link between the dye — used in everything from sausage casings and ice cream to makeup — and cancer, and U.S. tests proved some correlation as well. Though it was never linked to any deaths or illnesses, the substance was banned from U.S. shelves in 1976."

Too bad ........ chemo is a bitch .......

Kiss your sex life goodbye ........ if ya know what I mean ......
