The Catalina ended service in 1957.
For a full year they were contemporaries.

Ultramaroon entered the Navy in 1984

Wasn't delivering the A-bomb anymore but they re-purposed the shit out of 'em for sure.

Fun facts:
There are 78 Catalina's of 3,000 built still around with 22 of those in airworthy condition.
There are 15 Skywarriors (of all types) that still exist and none of them are even remotely airworthy. The big difference is that there were only 282 ever built to start with. Some of those were repurposed 2 or even 3 times.

That's because Catalinas are awesome and the Skywarriors are not.
