Charlotte area owners... Day trip to mountains?

Hey guys,

Recently joined, and have spent a few weekend days up in the NC mountains having a blast! If anyone in the area would like to join for one of these day trips let me know. I've found a few amazing roads within a couple of hours' drive from here.

My girlfriend and I usually leave out late morning, drive up to the area, find a place for lunch, and then drive for two to three hours and head back. Most days it's about an 8 hour affair.

In fact I just returned from a day of driving around Little Switzerland (they call the road the Diamondback), and plan to upload some vids of me chasing down a group of bikers that were quite surprised the 860 could keep up!

Planning to do it again next month so let me know if you are interested!

Sounds like my wife and I, we do the same thing on weekends. Are you in the Charlotte 86 facebook page? I'd post up in there, occasionally htey do group drives to the Diamondback/Devils Whip.

Yes I moved here from Florida about 10 months ago. Originally from Raleigh years ago. Used to ride motorcycles up to the mountains then, but it was too far to be a good day trip. Deals gap is not something you want to do after a 4 hour motorcycle ride..

Sound like a great idea unfortunately a couple of old fuddies like me and my wife would would slow you all down. Will keep an eye open for you when in the mountains.

P.S. I wonder if it's illegal to tow a wheelchair?
