I'm getting a BRZ which will have factory HIDs. The main thing I don't care for is the color temperature; your lights are very blue which I find to be a big distraction and annoyance on the road. It may be the camera position but there seems to be a lot of glare as well- I wonder if there squirrel finders are the cause.

I realize I could have been a bit more tactful in my original post but the point remains the same. Your headlights exemplify the problem with PnP HID kits: they're a menace to other drivers on the road.

Bro you should see the people with the Green and purple ones lmao, you would sh*t yourself. You live in NC so I don't see them bothering you one bit any time soon so have a good day.

All I'm saying is to think of your fellow driver. You're free to do what you want to your own car until it starts to become a nuisance to other drivers on the road. That goes for headlights, super loud music, etc. Plug-and-play HID kits never turn out well for oncoming traffic, but they wouldn't be nearly as bad if the color temperature were warmer and the squirrel finders were bent down. Your current setup will offend other California drivers without question; I've just had this opportunity to speak with you thanks to the 'net, and even if I won't ever see your car in person, someone had to speak up about it. This will be my last post about the matter.

No point in bashing someone in their own thread. seriously he won't be the last to do that and its his car.
Either way regardless of how I feel about the mods I am just happy to see that the car is getting modded. I like the rim choice and yes to the emblems I just ordered a set myself

I've been following the progress with your car and I must say you are probably one of the fastest in modding your (privately owned) car. Congrats and I'm sure everyone else, including me, also wants to see dyno numbers/graphs with all your upgrades on.
Also, if you were looking into another HID alternative, look at this site: hidplanet I drive in California roads and I do attest that it is #1 very dangerous to have that glare in my eyes when I drive as oncoming traffic (or even when I'm just in front of the non-yellow non-retrofitted LED's shooting at my rear view mirror). I literally sometimes can't see anything. If my windshield is slightly dirty, I am blind for that whole duration and I have had to roll my windows down, stick my head out to drive. That site I gave you will give you a comparison of the light, and light spreading. You yourself would also benefit from a retrofit since it would point the light where you need it. Here's a comparison link. That S2000 retrofit is straight sexy. I'm sure a BRZ conversion would be just as sexy, but probably cheaper to do S2000 retro. |
