The blizzaks feel really grippy and soft which makes it easier to crunch on the snow/slush. I recommend the bridgestone blizzaks over michelin x-ice. Cornering, turning and braking quality far exceeded my expectations on these blizzaks.
My pick between the two (I drive on local roads within North York/Thornhill/Vaughan) : Blizzaks > X-Ice Sorry Michelin! |

First winter with the 86 and I went with Blizzaks; so far no problems at all. Tire feels soft and grippy. Happy with my choice.

Jokes aside, I prefer Bridgestone & Yokohama tires over Michelin, hence why I went with the S-04's over the Pilot Super Sports. Reminds though, when I was in high school....i used to have this white puffy winter coat and everyone would call me the Michelin man. Maybe this is why I avoid Michelin....I'm traumatized for life!

No question that Blizzaks are better, but the downside is they're SO soft that you won't get as many seasons out of them.
Had them on my BMW a few years back and they were great.

I get new snows every winter and a few sets of summers every summer. The i3s just rated so high, I figured I'd give them a go. No idea who's rating these things, but they're wrong.
If it had my way I'd run Hakkapeliitta studded, but I don't live far enough north. |

Could not agree more. I am very unimpressed with the performance of Xice 3. Literally can't get up some small hills if in reverse and if I have no momentum.
