Piggy backing off Tcoat's visit thread, and reminiscing about early 90s Sentras...
My first car was actually a red 1992 Sentra XE..... automatic. NOT the 2.0L SE-R engine but the standard 1.6L. Sigh. Still, I thought it was the coolest thing ever and I put a huge stereo system in it. And of course in my mind it looked like this:

The grinding doesn't happen as often but I do need to use more force to shift the gear. Isn't this supposed to be a common issue with the twins in cold weather? Feel like I've read about that before. If it's a common manual trans thing I wouldn't know since this is my first lol. |

the rally jump for sure... he caught more air, kicked up a far larger cloud of dust, and was all-around more impressive.

I gotta vote Saito. Jumps on tarmac just have a different wow factor to me since it usually only happen in rally.

Haha, funny you say that though. I did mess up shifting into 5th a couple of months ago and got some grinding.. Freaked out, thought about how the heck it happened and how not to do it, and fortunately that hasn't happened since.

So last night on the commute home there were multiple people happily driving along on 680 with their lights off well after sunset. One car didn't even have DRLs on so they don't even have that excuse. Honking and flashing my lights had no impact other than making them think that I'm the idiot.
I only saw one car like that this morning and the sun was up so it wasn't as dark but visibility still wasn't great. I guess I can count that as an improvement. I'm so ready for autonomous pods for people who don't care about driving. |
