Finally have a concrete end date for work this year. With that date, and my banked time off, it looks as though I'll have until 1 April off.
Think I'm going to try and get a full time retail job during that time too. |

Should have left it alone. Me and another coworker spent all weekend prepping and 40ft boat for a 7-color gelcoat flake job... Back-to-back 10 hour double shifts doing easily doing a solid full weeks worth of work. Decided to stay late and knock out the color work tonight. Should have just left it alone. All that could go wrong, did go wrong. Ran out of flake, compressor died, power outage mid spray.
FuXk.

![]() Reminds me of another back-in-the-day story ...... ya, I know ..... ![]() Me and two of my buddies decided to take off in my buddies car one Saturday night, to go to the Lebanon, OH roller rink. My buddy drove that night and he drove his 1937 Chevrolet sedan, which was painted white with red rims. We had to go sort of low profile since he was only 15 and didn't have a drivers license. Everything was OK until we were leaving the parking lot (after curfew of course) and this jerk backed into the front of my buddies car ...... jumped the bumper (yes it was lowered - actually the front "knees" (shocks) were blown out) and dented up the front fenders really bad. We decided to leave town (before the cops arrived) and scooted out of town with our lights off, so a not to be detected - ya, right ..... in a white car with red rims ...... .Well, we made it back to our home town and pulled his car into his fathers garage (a dealership). Since we didn't want his father to find out that we had been driving the car on the road, some body work and paint job was in order. First the body work, with the help of a torch and a large hammer, we pounded the fenders back out best we could. Then came a generous application of bondo. Thank goodness he had some white paint left over from when we first painted it. So, on went two coats of enamel. It looked pretty good, considering we didn't turn the lights on in the spray booth - so as not to be detected ..... a trouble light was used. The next day, out in the daylight ...... it didn't look so good ..... ![]() THE END humfrz |

Did the Rudolph antlers and nose over the weekend. Mrs. Ultra helped me sew LEDs in the nose to make it glow.

That reminds me I need to pick up a new set for the wife's new car. I can put them on and surprise her.
