Well, I'll be darned ...... Momordica charantia,

Now, I understand the tie in:

"Bitter Melon and Diabetes - Effect on Blood Glucose Levels & Benefits.
The bitter melon contains at least three active substances with anti-diabetic properties, including charantin, which has been confirmed to have a blood glucose-lowering effect and an insulin-like compound known as polypeptide-p."

Sounds like good stuff .....

Aww. I missed ya. We've been binging Bloodline. Brutal story. A bit over the top in places but really well told.

Last day of work before flying home tomorrow for a few days. I'm so excited that I can't drag myself out of bed

I really liked it. Just the last season kinda fell off for me. you could tell the way they ended season 2 that they thought it wasn't going to get another season. Season 3 felt like, "uh, we need to figure out how to wrap this up.". but even until then I thought it was a great show. seasons 1 and 2 being the best by far.

We discovered it recently after re-watching Freaks & Geeks and are about halfway into the final season. I'm disappointed when well developed characters are thrown into awkward situations just to advance the plot. Feels cheap.

Like you said, it's otherwise been great so we're going to ride it out.

Man, that family goes hard on the sauce.
