Well I'm not sure if anyone actually read this thread.
But last week my I was waiting at a red light in the back of traffic, a teenager who just got her G2, was texting while driving and rear ended my car going about 80 KMH. now my car was stationary, in front of me was a HONDA CR-V. And she rear ended me so hard that my car literally went underneath the CR-V and my front end is in a million pieces and half of the stufff in the engine bay is damaged. all of the engine oil was spraying everywhere. the rear of my car look just as bad underneath. the air bag went off on my face so I was still trying to regain my conscious and find out what happened I was stuck inside the car while it start smoking inside the cabin, my seat belt was stuck and it took me 15 minutes after I managed to crawl out of my car. and of course the car is a write off. Had a lot of good time and good memories with this car, Learn how to be a good driver, learning the car limit. pushing the limit, chasing every sec on the track. unfortunately I have decided not to get another 86, Im going to pay off my car loan and grab an old Acura Integra to get me back and forth from home and work. there won't be anymore update to this thread. Oh noooo.
Well, for what it's worth, I followed this thread from the beginning and it was a great one. You focused on the best part about thoa car: how well it drives - while also nodding it tastefully and realistically. It's crazy, I would probably do the same if my BRZ was totalled. Integras are great cars. I've had a DA and loved it. Good luck man, it's been cool. |

Jesus. Sucks to see any twin get totaled, but more so if it's a local car that you've seen before. Glad you're okay. Sorry to hear you won't be getting another though
Those Integras are nice cars though. Good luck!

Damn that sucks dude. Was a great thread with a nice build and awesome track and autocross pics.
Hope you find a nice clean integra that's in good shape so you can turn that into another track weapon

Glad you're ok. Is that chick in the picture the driver? She still looks confused AF. Classy sweat pants.

I actually saw this accident! I was drove past it in my Fit when I as heading on Major Mac in the opposite direction and pointed it out to my wife. I even told her that I bet the car will be a write off. I was going to post about it, but decided not to just in case whoever it was maybe wanted to keep it private! I can't believe it was you. You know, accidents happen....but my god it pisses me off when the cause of the accident is something such as "texting and driving" People like this should be banned from driving.....but anyways....her insurance is going to sky rocket...and if she lives in Vaughan....well she will probably be taking the bus to whatever she is headed. Anyway, I wish you all the best in the future and glad you are safe!
