Well, ma-ma has returned and survived the grocery store. Thanksgiving is the only time of year she does the grocery shopping - damn, she can find some yummy stuff ....... pricy, but yummy.

miss toddler and I snuggled up on the couch and watched some cartoon shows while I read books to her till she fell asleep ........ so, I told the TV to find me some easy listening music and dozed off too.

Yep, got to go pick up the girls at school (half day today), feed them some lunch and then I can take a real nap ......

I wish it was a good story, like a bar fight with a bunch of Hells Angels, or a horrifying crash at Laguna Seca back in my racing days, but no. Its a boring story.

Now, THAT reminds me of late one night back-in-the-day story; me and a few of my buddies were out for the night in Sunnyvale, CA.

Yep, the girls were having a baby shower, so we were freed up for the night.

It was a warm, July, Saturday night and we had hit several bars and wound up in a nasty one. We were sort of trapped inside when a group of Sunnyvale Motor Rats decided to mix it up with a few Hells Angels.

Now, my "army" consisted of a short fellow, a fat fellow, a big mouth and a big fellow that was a San Jose volunteer police something or other.

I took command of the group and led them through the "mud, the blood and the beer" and got outside where I thought we could make a break for it.

WRONG! Outside was a half circle of bad dudes that were blocking our retreat and looking for a fight.

I decided to go with the frontal assault and spearheaded my unit straight for what looked to be the leader ....... with my hand in my coat pocket.
(that bluff has served me well over the years)

The leader stepped aside and said to his gang, "let em by .......this guy either has a gun or is crazy". I didn't have a gun, so, I guess that made me ......... crazy .......

(now this happened back in the days when they just fought with large wrenches, chains, brass knuckles and knives ....... no guns)

We made our escape, with no injuries ........ and called it a night .......
