Whoever has done some modification in his car knows that this would never happen. I've installed and tried maybe 10 different engine related parts. I wouldn't imagine doing at least 20 dynos for before & after figures. Some might even suggest that you need at least 2-3 pulls every time for accuracy, so then the number goes up to 60 dynos!

So, let's forget the ideal world and get down to earth. The purpose is to enjoy our cars and have fun (stock or modified) and don't chase numbers.

I’m about to go FI, but have been driving around with headers, tune and flex fuel kit for about 2 years. (I actually have a full exhaust, not just headers, but the header back portion added zero power I can feel but tons more noise).

No idea what it did dyno wise cos I didn’t bother to do one before or after... why do I care if it’s 170 or 177? I just care that I feels great.

What I can tell you that on normal gas the torque dip is gone and it feels so much better to drive. Instead of avoiding the 3,500 rpm range I live there now.
Then with e85 you get a really nice extra push - nothing dramatic, but just a little more power everywhere.

I’d highly recommend the headers/tune combo.

Nope, I didn't have the chance. However, I've read some good reviews about it.

In a track car the peak power is obviously important, but in a daily driver the midrange is way more important. To only talk about peak power gets kind of pointless in that regard.

An UEL header and tune may only give a few percent increased peak power. No matter how finely tuned your butt-dyno is, you won't notice 5% increase in power at 7000rpm. But in the usable range you might see gains of more than 20%*, anyone will notice that.

Also be aware that there is always a cost to your mods. Typically increased noise and loss of power in the lower rev-range when fiddling with exhaust and intakes. I'm not hating on mods in any way, its just something to be aware of.

I got el headers because i wanted peak power. I mostly street race and i need that peak hp, all the street races are til 100mph so it can comes in handy. I also autox too but not as much as street race. The e85 improves the mid power for that for autox.

If you do 100mph i presume is on highways, i do on canyons/touge and barely i git 65mph for a brief moment. You have full exhaust?
