I'm fairly sure the goal was not to get people to cross that vendor off the list to do business with, but that's what happened.

That sad part is that he should have know exactly what was going to happen with a thread like this.

I've been reading up, but since I just got the car in March, I'm no expert. No shame in asking an expert....

DO NOT CLICK!
Weird. I get the pop up for 20%, but that's it.

"The FR-S and BRZ are not fast cars, which is a shame, because the target demographic loves fast cars."

Even this is wrong, since we know who the car was aimed at when it was designed. It's plenty fast when the road isn't straight, and the people who complain about HP "bought the wrong car".

Exactly. It's terrible in every way. I couldn't believe they put that up...

"This car sucks, so buy a turbo or a stupidly expensive turbo." Thanks dude.

I've been assigned to rework it. Basically, it's getting tossed in the trash and I'm starting from scratch. I'm thinking intake, exhaust, tune, turbo. Maybe pulleys too? What would you tell the n00b that just bought an 86 and wants to mod it?
Intake and pulleys? You even went back to turbo after talking crap. Lets save them the time, tell them yours won't be much better, and skip to the next guy.

Or spend some more time reading on the forum so we dont have to do your job for you (while you dont even like the best answers provided)

Misunderstood. I was talking crap about the current unhelpful article that recommends a $17,000 turbo kit. The point isn't to discourage people, so turbo is on the rough draft, with an interview with Speed by Design. $3k is better than $17k....
And I do like the good answers here, but driving lessons and seat time aren't sellable items. It's a commercial for their site really, but I'm trying to make it more useful than their current version, while still meeting their seo needs.
Thanks for the 2 cents tho.

Why not talk to a turbo company that made their own kit vs. resell a Greddy kit? Sometimes cheap isnt best

Here's the thing. It's not an "oh, do this" - it's a conversation and it starts with what you wish the car did differently.

Maybe you just need crash bolts for a little more front camber. Maybe you need full aero, boost, and a gutted interior. I have no idea.

Also, this isn't about what you want to do with your car; you're writing an article, and as much as you're looking to ask an expert, there is no feedback anyone can give you for your article... unless we write it for you. That needs research.

If you come with specific questions: "explain the benefits of more camber in the front" we can point you at articles, or explain... though for this, articles are your friend because you can provide proper attribution.

Also, I've nearly given up on those stores. Last time I went in the guy tried to direct me to something useless. I eventually discovered the corner that had strap wrenches...
