All they have to do is touch up the rear-end so it looks less RX-8ish and I'm fine.

Nothing against the RX-8, I just don't want THIS looking like a miniature copy.

the rx-8 looks like a clunky piece compared to the ft-86 2

i still wish this was a hatch, it'd win for slightly more versatility then.

Ah ha! After 40 years of other manufacturers using boxer, we're getting with the program now!

I kid. I kid.

I wish these design guys would consult car enthusiasts in the area about how to talk and dress. *raises hand* That comb over is frightening.

I disagree; I find that the rear of the FT-86 is more similar to the 7th generation Celica than anything else.

I like that guy, he's cool.

I want to hear his explanation for the front LED strips though...

They blew it for me. Way too much glitz where the original design was more refined and tailored. If design 2 ends up being the production model I'll have to look somewhere else.

What part of "concept" do people have a hard time understanding? Especially if Toyota sticks to their plans of this being an affordable car, there is no way that many of the "glitz" features of the concept II will remain in the production model. I understand the need to vent frustration with certain details (or lack thereof) at times, but why not be a little patient before axing a model that isn't even out yet?

I am not a fan of Concept II either but I love everything else about this car so much that the look of it, no matter how it ends up, will not stop me from owning it.

I find it funny how many people dislike concept II. I liked the first one alot no doubt and still do but I also really like 2, it looks so agressive and intimidating and I kinda like the LED's though if they weren't there I wouldn't cry about it.

I have questions, will they make the final production car bland and boring? Or try to keep the curves and angles?

It will most likely be more "boring" than the concept. That's the way it works. Imagine the concept being a runway model with full hair and makeup. The production model will be more like what she looks like at home.
