Sorry to hear of your fathers declining health.

Watching one parent pass away and living with the other parent, while they are grieving, is tough.

OK, gang, I'm looking forward to another fun Monday.

Monday late start for school ....... but, the little angels still arrive here at 0800 hrs.

Take them to school and pick them up after school.

Then at 1700 hrs, I take them to their Krav Maga training session.

Their instructor is kinda cute, she looks to have a hard body, the kind that you could crack an egg on her butt.

Although, I'm not about to touch her to find out ......

She reminds me of this girl.......

Hang in there, make sure you say what you need to say to him. Never easy...

When we were first married, MomHawk smoked. She tried several different methods but finally quit one day cold turkey and hasn't smoked in 29 years.

Of course, she had serious motivation as she quit the second she found out she was pregnant with our oldest. The Momma Bear instinct is strong in this one.

Probably not very helpful for you.

Good for her.

I tried all the half-way steps to quitting and really liked the nicotine patches since it meant I could dose anywhere, like on a long flight!
Finally I just quit cold turkey. Threw away every vestige of my habit - ash trays, pipes, etc. It was hard for a while, but it can work with some motivation (as MomHawk had!)

Thanks to the teachers striking in Ontario colleges, my girlfriend's semester has been extended to 22 Dec, and now does not get a reading week. Not like we have a trip booked for the reading week, and were going to be booking a trip over Christmas in the next week or two.

It pisses me off even more because these students are paying good money to attend these classes, only to be the ones who get screwed over. And of course they won't get refunded a cent of their tuition
