I was on a flight from Orlando to Salt Lake. The capt. got on the intercom: "Is there a DR. on board the plane?" A guy a few isles back is haveing a seizure. He starts vomiting, which actually starts a chain reaction of people vomiting. (kind of like in Goldmember) Anyway, they then make an emergency landing in Denver. The capt. took the plane down faster then I have ever landed, at almost a 45 degree angle. It was crazy. I have flown hundreds of times all over the world. This was a first for me.


So, then once on the ground, they quarantine the plane for a few hours while a clean up crew disinfects the plane.



Finally, we got off the plane, and headed to the Marriot to get a few drinks in their lounge. They were comped!!!!

People actually think this is a good idea? Or any of it, really.

I've also noticed that being able to properly say Koenigsegg seems to help, but there's a pretty big overlap between IT people and car people in my experience.

I will keep fighting the urge to tell stories about Americans I have observed outside their natural habitat. But yes, those are real and frequently repeated examples.

And let me stress again: I love America, her people, culture and food serving sizes; I have been to America many times and I have met genuinely awesome people of the American persuasion. I count several of them as my friends.

And you're absolutely right. If you show even a hint of interest and make the slightest effort to pronounce our names and stuff, you're immediately breaking away from the negative stereotype.

I just ate those stupid ramen noodles I bought from Amazon. First of all, my tongue and lips are on fire. Second of all, my stomach feels like I'm having a concurrent c section and abortion.
