OEM Subaru Option BBS Mesh Forged 16x6.5 +55

I was looking for a set of wheels to run for winter for a while and found a set of these JDM Subaru BBS forged wheels for a song on Kijiji. I couldn’t resist. They’re very similar in style to the BBS RSII’s; They were standard on the 1993-1996 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT/B-spec.

They’re mounted on 205/55R16 Continental WinterContact Si’s.

I’ll whip my DSLR out soon to get some better pictures!

Nice wheels, but that offset is killing me... I almost never suggest spacers, but those need ~10mm or so...

I actually don’t mind the tuck, given that they’re winters.

If I was running them in the summer with a sticky set of tires I’d completely agree.

The angle, combined with the lip on the wheels definently make them look smaller in photos then they really are.

I'm happy though; with the wheel and tire combo being around 7 lbs lighter than stock (33.5 lbs a corner vs around 41 lbs stock, considering the wheel and tire combo) the car really feels livelier with a light set of wheels, even with the tread squirm that you get with winter tires above 10 deg C or so.

OEM Subaru option with these BBS wheels? They have different specs. I don't get it.

There is not much information on them available online, but I believe these BBS wheels were a "Subaru original option" on the BD5/BG5 Legacy as stated in the OP. Not sure if anyone can confirm.

EDIT:

They were standard on the 1993-1996 Subaru Legacy Touring Wagon GT/B-spec.
