Gentleman,

Thank you all for the words and the heads up, we appreciate it very much.

Let’s try and keep this thread on topic, which is talking about the AIRAID Intake system.

Thanks,
David

Hello MarkRacerX,

Below is the Dyno sheet Keith had posted earlier in this thread.

For now here is a preliminary dyno chart just to show that we are making power and that the AFR is in line. The solid line is stock and the dashed line is our prototype. We should be good for 5-7 hp and 3-4 ft/lbs with the production parts.

Thanks,
David

I find it absolutely fascinating that every intake I've seen actually loses a couple ft lbs/hp at low RPM. Seems like Subaru did a great job down low.

That being said, I doubt it's really noticeable, and the sound and high end gains make any decent intake worth it, in my opinion.

I've been lurking in this thread for a while, very impressed with the development of this intake! The charts look great and I'm a huge fan of the look, way cleaner than a bright shiny metal tube in there. Looking forward to a group buy if and when it happens!

I'm of the same opinion. Typical Subaru intakes aren't bad at all; for the money of intake you can get more bang for your buck. That said, this AIRAID piece DOES look well done and well thought out.

This has been a great read. I can wait to get mine. I've always liked project car builds and this is pretty cool!

You should add the dyno to the first post.

Looks good. Good lock with the sale.

We have another local who is going to drive on the kit next week. The tooling for the tube is almost done and then the Cold Air Box tooling will be next. Getting closer...

Also we are looking at doing a black anodized lid with laser engraved logo, and insulating the lid based on forum comments.
