Noob Question About Coilover Initial Measurements

Got a set of tein flex a's and the measurements the manual shows is throwing me off. B is straightforward. But A and C just seem impossibly short. Maybe I'm measuring the wrong places or this is just a super general chart for struts that I am over thinking? Any help/reassurance would be appreciated. Sorry for the crappy camera.

The measurement for A should be from the top of the single collar in this picture:

to the top of the strut body, which you can't see unless you pull the spring and dust boot.

C is similar, except you measure from the top knuckle bolt hole to the top of the strut body.

I don't think the layout drawings are meant to be to scale. They're just for reference to tell you what pieces you should use to make the measurement
