So all my pics are dead oh well.
So finally...I started in on my LS swap project this weekend! Swapped out the stock 4.30 diff for a 3.55 8.8 Ford rear diff from Full Blown Motorsports. I also went to solid SPL subframe bushings, all the SPL arms and links, Whiteline sway bar with reinforcements and links, solid polyurethane rear diff bushings, and the MCS coilovers with vorshlag mouthing plates. The subframe bushings were super hard to remove...I remembered reading about people stripping subeframe bolts as well so I was cautious about tightening the bolts when I was putting it back in. The factory bushings have ovaled holes so the subframe can move to allow the bolts to be threaded properly. These solid bushings just have a round hole so it was difficult to get all four bolts threaded right. I made sure I had all four bolts started a few turns then jacked the subframe up the last half inch or so into place and tightened the bolts. The lack of "slack or play" in these new bushings makes it hard to get them threaded and tightened. If I didn't know to be cautious, I probably would have stripped one or damaged the threads a bit. The SPL arms and links are pretty straight forward. It's gonna be a chore to get them all adjusted since I changed every arm but not as bad as I originally thought it would be...you initially adjust them to be the same length as the part you're replacing and then adjust from there. I gotta find a place to run the line for the reservoirs on the coilovers into the car. I want it to be clean and accessible from the trunk. Anyways good start to this project. The diff also went in pretty easy....so far, this part of the project was tedious but easy. ![]() Beefy axles shafts ![]() ![]() Pretty sure I installed the rear sway bar upside down but I don't see how it could cause any problems this way. It's clear of everything...any thoughts or input? ![]()

Thanks man! I talked to Jason at vorshlag the other day, they are still designing the headers. He said it will probably be mid December before I have a set of headers in my hands. Damn! Haha

Woo! Good Luck! You might look at removing the bumper/radiator support/radiator. Makes the entire front open and installing/removing engine/trans so much easier. Also gives a lot of room to work around things.

Kind of didn’t want to do that but yes I can see how it would make everything way easier and will probably be necessary... Read a bunch of things about the bumper cover not going back on as tight after it’s been pulled how has yours been?

Apparently the new bumpers aren't as bad as the old ones. Definitely a good reason not to though. Mine fits like junk.
