Just decided to paint the kit with the single stage paint match spray cans for the time beings. Hood needs refinished as well as both bumpers. Might as well just paint the entire thing at that point. Also going to cut the muffler off finally. I am going to try to kill drone as well. Designing one of these:

Well. I cut up my nice Greddy exhaust to get me a nice single/center exit that I can use with a diffuser. Was going to use one of the mufflers from it, but the way they are designed with an offset outlet made it unusable.

Sounds amazing, except it drone horribly at 2k RPM. Right where I cruise at in every gear. So killing the drone with the resonator pipe is even more important now. I think I have found 2.1 feet is the length. I just so happen to have enough pipe to make one. So that will be done when I get the time.

Good discussion on making one and the example was spot on for us V8 guys with drone at 2K rpm.

Exhaust Resonance Tube

I did get a change to Auto-X the car this weekend. Car did alright. I didn't have super high hopes as I haven't really done anything with the car since the swap and even since RB kit was installed. Fasted time was an 81 sec. Few faster cars. Even an FRS. Though he only drives the car on the track and does it all the time. So he knows his car extremely well, and it's well set up for Auto-X. 77 Seconds.

I was surprised at how well the car did at not trying to flip around. Once I got used to the course, I really focused on the car. I started noticing the traction control light would go off and I could feel the car slow down. My rear rotors were significantly discolored after the runs. Got a few fun runs in after the even where I could play with the car. Sure enough, if I turned traction control off, the car would hang loose/slide around with 0 issues. So even though it has no control over throttle, it will still grab the rear brakes. This leads me to believe that is where my loss in power is coming from in the times playing with friends.

I would just like the point out that I didn't put the numbers on my car... That "6" drives me nuts haha

I started cutting my Driveway Labs diffuser to clear the Greddy exhaust. I did a terrible job and scrapped the project. No more mufflers so I patched the diffuser and hope to get it on today.

I also started my Resonator Tube thing. Got it finished, but it was super dark by the time I started welding and installed it, so no pictures. Will try to get some tonight.

After using the 2.5" hole saw on a scrap piece of pipe to make sure everything would work. I decided the hole saw wasn't going to work. Only thing I had next was a 5" cut off wheel. Worked okay.

What were your thoughts on the Avid1-20 bronze wheels? I am inbetween these and bronze RPF1s in the same 17x9. Saw a picture of them cracked but looks like you hit a curb. Did they hold up well after all those track days?

I loved mine. I did smack a hidden curb head on with the one. So I think they did extremely well. I even did a "track day" (More like an extended auto-x) with the cracked wheel. Ran with no issues. Gave them to a friend and he plans on having it fixed and running them on his car.

Well I just received these in the mail... I didn't buy them, and neither did the wife. Apparently one of my friends thinks I need to go turbo as well.

Hmm...

Or do a 180 and mount the turbo up next to the heads if there is enough room.
