Good to know, because knowledge is power!

Looks like they just added info on bumpstop part numbers. (All part of the TR kit)

Yeah they updated them. When we installed the kit the P#'s didn't match the description. Fronts had a different # printed on them, and the rears didn't have any identifying marks.

It was easy to figure out what goes where due to strut/shock shaft size, though.

No. Because while people may talk about throwing paper, seldom do any actually go through with it. But, weighing an exhaust is easy when there's only a handful of nuts that have to be undone. So knowing that, it just may be enough to keep people honest.

My opinion is that if you think saving ~9lbs (going to the lightest known around 9lbs) helped you win in a spec class, all the more power to you. I'll be focusing on driving better than how much your exhaust weighs.

Here's my thinking... people weigh varying weights. Then factor in what they had to eat the night before and following morning. From Disimo at 50lbs to JakeRogue above at 310. The difference between weight savings is in the wash in driving. A gallon of gas is around 6lbs there... and people will be running with more or less gas...

Looking at the weights thread, there are only a handful of "catback" exhausts under 18 lbs. It's going to be easy to look at an exhaust, peer under the car and judge if it's legal or not.

And if you show up lighter than 18lbs, and know it, and did it on purpose, ... you suck. Don't piss and moan SHOULD your exhaust be weighed. If you know it's 18lbs or more, great. You'll pass the protest should one happen. If not? You still suck and deserve to get protested if it goes that far. Hence, being sure you're legal is probably the best bet in the whole scenario, both for the class itself and for the classes future.

Agreed on all points - I'm just thinking of my poor buddy Cueman who has to ballast that Tomei TI exhaust by ~8 lbs to make weight

I'd end up running in super featherweight class, but I swear I'm a fat kid at heart!

If the final rule turns out this way, the Borla and many other options will be legal.
Is there still a "Street Touring lunch" on Monday at Nationals? We should crash it... This should end up being a very fun social group... Just sayin'...

By the way in case you missed it, there is now a SCCA Solo Spec Coupe (SSC) facebook group as well.

I wish they would have went with Racecomp Engineering springs and GTWorx/Bilstein shocks with the RCE sway are. I think the cars would handle quite a bit better with this setup.

But Tire Rack is the main sponsor so I guess they had dibs on the parts.

Not everyone believes in equal spring rates front and rear.

And they're $500+ more expensive than eibach+koni

And the B14 is a bit travel challenged in the rear, fixable when you can change top hat and bump stop, not so much when you're trying to limit costs.
